Son Hosted Fight Night In College Apartment
Location: North Carolina
In our son’s apartment after drinking and going out had a ‘fight night’ that resulted in the coma of a family friend.
The kids wore boxing gloves and the fights were friendly and had no intent of anything worse than beating your friend up for bragging rights.
In a video taken by over 6 kids it shows our son and one of his longest friends since middle school fighting each other. They were actually both smiling clear as day in the video while they were fighting.
The friend is then hit and falls to the ground and the video ends. Immediately everyone in the apartment can see something isn’t right call an ambulance and explain to police what happened. My son and 4 other kids were taken into the station and explain to police what happened.
He eventually got a hold of us and stated the police know everything stated here and was released.
I spoke with the family friends parents who are as devastated as we are until the father said they aren’t speaking to us anymore until they have a lawyer.
As we board the next flight out what realistically are we landing to face? Attempted murder?
Our son will comply, however we told him he doesn’t say another word without us and a lawyer.
We don’t know what to do and who even to call, I need reality of what the next steps are and what will most likely happen.
