Therapy Office Double Charging

Hello,

Location: Alabama My toddler was receiving behavioral therapy from a company for a little over a year. (Autism) In July the billing stopped because they changed billing companies but we continued to pay because my son had a grant that was covering the copays. Well the billing has resumed and we have since left because of how unorganized the company is and we are getting g statements for almost a thousand dollars that has already been paid for. I’ve been in contact with the COO and she has acknowledged receiving payments but is still standing by us owing although it makes zero sense. The grants have actually over paid (my child was sick for some sessions so didn’t go causing a credit) but ofcourse they say no. I sent proof straight from the grants with check numbers added them up and added up all claims from his insurance to show evidence of the credit and such but still nothing. What do I do? We should not be paying this we don’t even have the money on the first place hence the grant we qualified for. I would really appreciate some guidance.
