Unprovoked Sucker Punch
Location: Texas
The father of a terminated employee (the employee was over 18) came to my work. He asked for me by name. When I refused to give a details regarding the employee’s termination, i turned to walk away and he sucker punched me. He struck the side of my head, but luckily didn’t fully connect. I think he may have swung and hit a second time, but I’m not 100% certain. After I gathered my wits about me and still a little shell shocked, the suspect left, but not before telling me that he’ll fuck me up if he catches me outside the building.
Other than a bump on my head, some insomnia from my mind racing and a blistering headache, I haven’t really been affected. I filled a police report and police are definitely going to pick him up for assault once they saw the video.
I really want to make this man’s life inconvenient. Is it worth getting a lawyer and trying to get some pain, suffering and punitive damages, which best to my research, this attack qualifies for? He’s also got a CDL, and if I could put that at risk for him too, I would do a happy dance.
I’ve got not problem being petty.
