Update: Gm Suspended After Going To Hr

My GM was fired. I quit same day because I was stuck working with the DM and I did not appreciate the way it was going. The DM threatened to call the police on my GM since he came back to grab something he’d left (for context, DM is an older white woman and GM is a younger gay black man). DM started faking tears and saying she felt unsafe with him around. I was paid next day, including all my PTO. GM was paid same day but his PTO is missing. I sent an email through our work communication citing all the things I had witnessed in my time there (forcing us to open without hot water, forcing us to operate with mold in our ice bin, forcing people to skip their meal breaks, telling employees they can’t get workers comp at our company, abusive language, telling a pregnant employee she will probably lose her job when she returns from maternity leave, plus the nepotism in HR). My GM had a meeting with a lawyer and they seem to think he has a case in some form but I saw most of you don’t believe there is a case for retaliation. Is him pursuing any case a bad idea or does he have a case for something else here? Thank you all again!
