Victim Of Sextortion - Revenge Porn Sent To Family

Last Friday, I was targeted in what appears to be a sextortion scheme after meeting someone on a queer hookup app called Sniffies. We exchanged phone numbers through the app, and shortly afterward the person demanded $900 and threatened to send intimate photos of me to family members if I didn’t pay.
The person followed through and created several group texts that included me and multiple family members. They sent three nude photos of me (I am an adult, and the photos were taken when I was an adult), including one that clearly showed my face.
In addition to sending the photos, the person made false accusations in the group texts, including claiming that I engage in sexual activity with children. These accusations are completely false and appeared to be part of the effort to humiliate me and pressure me into paying.
I did not pay any money.
What I’ve done so far:
● Filed a police report in person and have a case number.
● Filed a report with the FBI/IC3.
● Preserved screenshots of the threats, payment demand, group texts, phone numbers used, and Cash App information.
● Saved the dating profile and profile link.
● Contacted Sniffies, and they informed me they are willing to provide account information if requested by law enforcement.
● Performed a reverse image search, which makes me believe the profile may have been using someone else’s identity.
● Begun removing my information from people-search and public-record websites.
The messages have stopped for now, but I have no way of knowing whether the person actually deleted anything.
My questions are:
1. If I obtain additional evidence, should I continue providing it to local police, the FBI, or both?
2. If law enforcement identifies a suspect, is there a process for victims to be notified?
3. Given that there is a dating profile, phone numbers, a Cash App account, evidence of extortion, and a platform willing to cooperate with law enforcement, is this the type of case that realistically gets investigated?
4. Is there anything else I should be doing right now to preserve evidence or protect myself legally?
I don’t have much faith in the system and am trying to understand what realistic expectations I should have moving forward.
