Wife's Parents' House Stolen From Them. Please Advise.

1st off, I'm a 3rd party in this, I'm just relaying information and I expect to have to come back and give updates with missing info you guys need.

This is a sum up of what I know.

Wife's parents have bought and lived in a home for over a decade and paid 90k into it and it was supposedly paid off.

Some time later they get a notice their house has been taken by the bank for a lein of 3k that wasn't paid, and sold to some guy in California, their new landlord, who now charges them ever increasing rent.

My wife has records of all the payments and no notices of liens were sent.

Wife's parents are good and simple people. They dont know how to fight back and they can't afford a lawyer.

We dont know what to do at all. This happened about 3 years ago.

Updated info from my wife.

They were buying the house from a company called vision management who would put their money in escrow or something and would give them the title at the end. As wife's parents go to collect title they are informed that vision management was bought or turned into State Bridge. State bridge then puts them on a month to month. Vision management was also managing the property tax payments.
