Worth Involving Police Over?
Would love some advice. My GF and I live at the end of a cul de sac. Our neighbor’s driveway butts up to ours perpendicularly. They park daily blocking about 1-1 1/2 feet of our driveway and intermittently block 1/2+ of our driveway without notice. We’ve tried to talk to them about other issues (unrelated) and they’ve been completely unreasonable/accommodating in the past. We really don’t want to involve the cops (although we know we legally are in the right). We are looking for both legal advice and non legal recommendations to help resolve this problem. We are also looking for advice from anyone in a similar situation about whether perusing further action is worth it.
Additional info:
They have an old non-functional sports car parked in the driveway preventing them from pulling up farther. Said car is several feet from the back of their garage and if m
no
oved back even 2 feet would allow unencumbered egress from our property.
Our neighbors use our driveway on a daily basis as a turn around to park in their driveway.
We
do not own the property our driveway exits on. It’s city property with an easement for our driveway.
