Barkly Retractable Leash With Built-in Personal Safety Alarm At Superzoo

(PRESS RELEASE) LAS VEGAS — Barkly, a pet safety brand designed for women who walk their dogs alone, announced the full line launch of its first-of-its-kind retractable dog leash with a built-in personal safety alarm and high-visibility LED strobe light. The expanded line debuts at SuperZoo, the pet industry’s largest trade show, held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, and is now available in five colors, Lilac, Oat, Carbon, Lemon, and Sky, three sizes, and new retail packaging.

Barkly was built to solve a real safety gap for women who walk their dogs alone, especially on night walks. The team kept hearing the same story from women who loved their daily walks but felt uneasy the entire time, watching for anything that felt off. Rather than asking women to carry a separate personal alarm, Barkly built the solution directly into the leash itself. A recessed button on the handle activates a 130 decibel alarm and a bright LED strobe, designed to deter a threat and alert people nearby in an instant, all without ever letting go of the leash.
