“Staying busy and sticking to routine keep me functioning at a high level,” Krysta Fox says. And she sure does stay busy. Not only does Fox own and operate Pug & Hound Apothecary with husband Jeff Di Re, she also manages the store’s in-house veterinary clinic, works as a vet tech at two other practices, and manages a chiropractic neurologist’s office. “Going to each place week after week keeps me in sync and sane,” Fox says, adding that she also has begun consulting under canine herbalist Rita Hogan. When not working, Fox enjoys spending time with Di Re, puppy Clark Kent Griswold (pictured here), 9-year-old hound mix Willy, 8-year-old Pittie Xena and her dozen African cichlids. And weekly family dinners give her “space to be myself, talk about my week, and share my goals and accomplishments with people who truly care.” One such accomplishment: Pug & Hound saw 40% growth from 2024 to 2025.
