Road To Superzoo: It’s Easy Being Green At The Show

Consumers around the world are concerned about sustainability, and pet owners are no exception. We’re seeing this environmental awareness play out in pet purchases across several categories.

Biodegradable dog waste bags. Supplements made from sustainably sourced fish oil. Pet toys crafted with natural materials. Packaging that uses recycled paper instead of plastic that’s destined for a landfill. Retailers who meet this growing demand for green products are seeing green, too — in the form of more sales dollars.

In fact, 78% of consumers prioritize sustainability when making buying decisions, according to the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC), a nonprofit supporting pets and the planet, and a World Pet Association Good Works partner. And shoppers’ options are multiplying, according to PSC, which says sustainable brands are growing at double the rate of other brands.

That growth is evident at SUPERZOO. In 2026, retailers will get the first look at new eco-friendly products that will be hitting the market and expand their environmental expertise at free, dedicated education sessions on the Show Floor Stage. Here’s what they can explore:

New Products

  • WOOFPANION, Emerging Brands Area, Booth #11873EB
Clean pets equal a clean planet, thanks to the brand’s high-quality, eco-conscious wet wipe mittens, waste bags and dispensers. The product line boasts post-consumer recycled and 100% plant-based compostable bags with extra durability; the dispensers use 65% recycled plastic and eco-friendly silicone bands.
  • Archway, New Product Showcase, Booth #3262
There’s a secret ingredient in this hypoallergenic, natural chew: silver carp. By removing this invasive species from U.S. waterways, Archway supports both a healthy planet and healthier pups.
  • MessyMutts, New Product Showcase, Booth #5761
With BioRecycle poop bags, dog owners don’t have to worry about dealing with messy leaks or adding extra trash to landfills; a special additive activates microbes that speed the bag’s degradation, a process that creates biogas that can then be turned into a renewable energy source.
