(PRESS RELEASE) MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Stunt Puppy, a Minneapolis-based dog gear company, has partnered with Mexican artist and Minneapolis-based designer Luis Fitch to launch a Día de los Muertos collection celebrating Mexican art, culture, community and remembrance.

The Stunt Puppy x Luis Fitch Collection features six original designs created by Fitch and brought to life on Stunt Puppy collars and leashes. Each piece is designed and manufactured at Stunt Puppy’s production facility in Northeast Minneapolis.

For Stunt Puppy, the collaboration is about more than creating a new collection.

“We’ve wanted to honor Día de los Muertos for a long time, and we’re thrilled to finally bring that vision to life. Collaborating with Luis gave us the opportunity to create something truly special while also finding a meaningful way to give back to our community. We’re incredibly grateful to Luis for sharing his talent and vision with us on this beautiful collection.” – Ken Goldman, Stunt Puppy

Día de los Muertos is a Mexican tradition rooted in remembrance and the celebration of loved ones who have died. Observed on November 1 and 2, its traditions have deep Indigenous roots and have evolved over centuries, with families often creating ofrendas featuring photographs, food, flowers and meaningful objects to remember and welcome loved ones.

Art With a Story

Fitch is a Mexican artist, mentor and creative entrepreneur based in Minneapolis whose work combines Mexican traditions with contemporary design. His practice explores themes including identity, migration, civic life and belonging, and his work can be found in more than 450 private and institutional collections.

His previous work includes four U.S. Postal Service stamps and Target’s first Día de Muertos art collection by a Mexican artist.

For the Stunt Puppy collaboration, Fitch created six original designs:

Amor Eterno, El Jardín, Flor de Recuerdo, Buenas Memorias, Flores de Colores, Amo a mi Amo

“Día de los Muertos is about keeping someone present through memory. You use the things around you—a photograph, flowers, candles, music, something they loved—to remember them. There’s a saying in Mexico that remembering is to revive the person. That idea is also part of my artwork. These figures aren’t dead. Their eyes are open. They’re alive.” – Luis Fitch

The designs are available across Stunt Puppy collars and leashes.

Celebrating Community. Supporting Community.

As part of the collaboration, 10% from every Stunt Puppy x Luis Fitch item sold will be donated to Unidos MN, supporting Minnesota’s working families to advance social, racial, and economic justice for all in Minnesota.

Stunt Puppy will also feature voices from Minnesota’s Mexican community sharing what Día de los Muertos means to them, the traditions their families carry forward and the people and animals they remember.

“I wish more people understood that Día de Muertos is truly a celebration of life. Even though it translates to “Day of the Dead,” it’s about remembrance, togetherness and celebrating how fortunate we were to share our lives with the people and animals we’ve loved. It’s colorful, bright, vibrant and so full of culture and joy. There’s something really beautiful about taking time to say, “You were here, you mattered to me and I still carry you with me.” I would love to see more people around the world embrace the spirit of Día de Muertos because, at its heart, it’s really about love and celebrating life.” – Vanessa Palestino, Hola Coffee

The Stunt Puppy x Luis Fitch Día de los Muertos Collection launches October 5, 2026 and is available at StuntPuppy.com.
