Secret Service Says It’s ‘aware’ Of Iranian State Media Threat Against Barron Trump

The Secret Service is “aware” of a video reportedly published by Iranian state media that appears to threaten President Donald Trump's youngest son, Barron, the agency confirmed Tuesday.

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring said in a statement.

“Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence,” Herring added.

The broadcast segment — which begins with an English graphic that reads “Where to Kill Barron Trump” — describes efforts to reach the president’s youngest son, referring to a $10 million reward, according to Iran International, a U.K.-based outlet that covers the country.

The video labels Barron Trump a “target” and references various notable locations, including Trump Tower and a Washington address tied to New York University, where Trump is reportedly enrolled as a student.

Since hostilities broke out in February, the president and his family have been targeted by Tehran’s retaliatory warnings. Trump’s secret plane switch in July was due in part to concerns about a threat to the president’s life from Iran.

The latest threat targeting Barron Trump emerges amid an escalation in the nearly six-month war waged by the Trump administration.

On Monday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent unveiled a new effort intended to isolate Iran economically, warning foreign companies and governments to cease business with Tehran or lose access to U.S. financial systems.
