“Height is a lean 6-foot-3, 239 pounds and was working hard with defensive line coach Kris Kocurek on Friday. His quickness is evident, but it will be interesting to see how well he gets off blocks at training camp. Fourth-round pick Gracen Halton, on the other hand, packs some punch at the same height and is 54 pounds heavier, and the defensive tackle was sending the blocking sled flying. (Yup, it’s rookie camp … we are grading hits on the sled.)”

49ers sign LB Larry Worth III to a three-year deal, release player
“The San Francisco 49ers continue to make adjustments to their offseason roster, signing undrafted free agent linebacker Larry Worth III to a three-year deal after the defender participated in the team’s rookie minicamp last week. 

To make room on the roster, the 49ers released linebacker Milo Eifler.”

49ers signed a rookie linebacker who would’ve tied Sonny Styles at the NFL Combine in the broad jump
“In 2025, Worth started 11 games and had 64 tackles. Worth led all Razorbacks at Arkansas’s Pro Day with a 37.5” vertical jump. He also had a broad jump of 11-foot-2 inches, which would have tied first-round pick Sonny Styles for the furthest jump at the NFL Combine. He ran a 4.66 40-yard dash at 226 pounds. 

With the Razobacks, Worth entered his senior year as a defensive back. During fall camp, Worth was playing the “Hog” position as well as boundary safety. Both of those are more hybrid-type positions than a true linebacker or safety. In 2024, Worth played both linebacker and safety.”

“I don’t think that he should ever step foot in the cornerbacks’ room,” Whitner said. “Ephesians Prysock, go straight to the safeties’ room and learn the safety position, start from the beginning…..This guy has all of those attributes, and you put him at free safety, you’re going to have a playmaker,” Whitner continued.

 “I’m telling you, they haven’t seen anything like this, if you strictly have somebody work with him and develop him at the safety position.”
