Bills Sign Buffalo-born Center, Release Rookie Wide Receiver
We don’t know if this has anything to do with the severity of Connor McGovern’s injury, but the Buffalo Bills have made a signing at center.
Sincere Haynesworth is the newest member of the Bills. Rookie undrafted free-agent receiver Mac Dalena was released as a corresponding move. The team announced the transactions on Wednesday afternoon:
We have made the following roster moves:

– Signed C Sincere Haynesworth
– Released WR Mac Dalena pic.twitter.com/hSaPGpSxrL
Haynesworth was born in Buffalo in 2001 but went to high school outside of Houston, Texas. He was a decorated center for Tulane University, playing over 3,900 snaps across five seasons in New Orleans. He went undrafted in 2024.
At his pro day, Haynesworth measured in at 6’0 1/2” and exactly 300 pounds, so he’s distinctly small for the center spot in today’s NFL.
Haynesworth did not appear in any regular-season games with the Saints, Patriots, or Cardinals the past two seasons. He spent the spring on the St. Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League. This is likely nothing more than providing the offense a new preseason option ahead of Buffalo’s final exhibition of the summer.
