Bills Sign Former Patriots Fullback, Release Former Ol Draft Pick
The day after the Buffalo Bills utilized 13 personnel — three tight ends on the field at the same time — on more than a third of their offensive snaps, they signed a fullback.
Brock Lampe, an undrafted free agent in the 2025 class from Northern Illinois, is now a member of the Bills.
Ok, it was only to the practice squad, but it’s a development worth monitoring after neither training camp fullback Jackson Acker nor Ben VanSumeren made the 53-man roster after the preseason:

Lampe spent last summer with the Patriots but was cut before camp in July. He signed with the Seahawks in early August and was waived with an injury designation on August 30.
Clearly, he’s reasonably healthy now — or close to it.
You probably remember Broeker, as he was a 2023 seventh-round pick of the Bills out of Ole Miss. After getting claimed on waivers after being waived as a rookie out of camp, he was re-signed to the Bills practice squad last season after bouncing around the league and played 127 snaps at right guard and right tackle for Buffalo in the preseason.
Lampe played 39 exhibition snaps for Seattle in August.
