Brandon Aiyuk Potential Landing Spots: Where Might The Wr Play Next?

There is a wide range of speculation that wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk will likely not play for the San Francisco 49ers.

Niners general manager John Lynch indicated that Aiyuk had more than likely played his "last snap" for San Francisco earlier this year in January.

Aiyuk made a number of social media posts that ridiculed the 49ers in cryptic captions as he finally broke his silence. San Francisco continued to ignore Aiyuk's antics and addressed its need to fill depth at the wide receiver position.

The 49ers signed Mike Evans, Christian Kirk, Deebo Samuel Sr. and a number of other receivers, even selecting Ole Miss star wideout De'Zhaun Stribling with the 33rd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. San Francisco has long indicated they are done with the Aiyuk show.

Aiyuk had a meeting with the 49ers' front office, who he described as the "big bosses" to reporters. Aiyuk signed star agent Drew Rosenhaus in an attempt to get back into the league. Aiyuk must first be reinstated and repay $13 million in bonus forfeiture pay.

"I'm feeling great, feeling healthy in my recovery process, in my rehab process," Aiyuk said. "(I'm) back to 100% and looking to get reinstated into the National Football League."

Rosenhaus didn't have much to comment regarding their meeting with the Niners.

"To be continued," he said.

As those conversations continue, or stall out, which of the other NFL teams could utilize the skillset that Aiyuk can bring? Here are potential landing spots for the wide receiver:

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens don't have a lot of weapons at the wideout position, but they do have Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Regardless of who they have, does it matter considering who they don't have? Quarterback Lamar Jackson is out indefinitely with a right thumb injury. As a backup, they traded for veteran Jacoby Brissett. Maybe Aiyuk could be a viable option as the Ravens look to salvage their season.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are an interesting option. They are known for being a place for second chances for players. The franchise is in need of a true No. 1 option at wide receiver. They've been getting away with Tre Tucker and Jalen Nailor as their main wideout options. They have tight end Brock Bowers, who they utilize and target as if he's a WR1. Aiyuk would thrive in silver and black catching passes from Kirk Cousins.

Tennessee Titans

Titans quarterback Cam Ward needs additional weapons beyond starters Carnell Tate, Wan'Dale Robinson and Calvin Ridley. Aiyuk would be a veteran presence for the Titans' young receiver core. The season hasn't gone the way they'd hope, but maybe the 28-year-old could come in and help build on the season and look forward to 2027.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Aaron Rodgers is on his last leg and adding Aiyuk could be the missing piece that the Steelers need. They have been trying to sharpen the DK Metcalf connection with Rodgers. Aiyuk could be the latest weapon for Rodgers in the twilight of his career.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks make an interesting possibility simply because it's a division rival and Aiyuk would have a chance to face the 49ers before the season ends if a trade were to be finalized before the Nov. 10 deadline. It's hard to imagine a world in which the Niners send Aiyuk to a rival, but maybe they want him to be their headache. However, Aiyuk seems like the guy that would take it personal next time he sees San Francisco, how fitting would it be.

Kansas City Chiefs

This one seems the most far off, but not really. It's not likely that San Francisco would do anything that could potentially help the Chiefs, but Aiyuk would be a perfect fit with quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs are also known for reviving careers, but of course, winning helps. Aiyuk, if healthy, certainly helps their WR room. He would join Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Cyrus Allen.
