Broncos Announce They Will Wear Their Throwback Uniforms Vs. Seahawks And Chargers

The Denver Broncos made a surprise uniform announcement on Tuesday when they announced that they will wear their very popular throwback uniforms during their Thursday Night matchup vs. the reigning Super Bowl Champions, the Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks will also be wearing their popular throwbacks, so it will be a battle of two of the best jesery/uniforms in the NFL, with the Broncos obviously having the best ones.

They did not stop there; they also announced that they would be wearing these beautiful throwbacks for their season finale matchup vs. their division rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers. They can wear their throwbacks/alternate jerseys up to 4 times in a season, so we could see them wear them at least one more time. They have used that 4th time to wear their white helmet/navy blue alternates, so I would anticipate we see that again this season.

The Broncos are currently undefeated when they wear these throwbacks, so hopefully that trend continues this season. A big win at home on Thursday Night Football vs. the reigning Super Bowl Champs in the throwbacks would be pretty awesome. Then, a season finale game vs. a division rival in a game that could decide the AFC West and postseason seeding and/or berths. Continuing that undefeated streak in those two games would be huge wins for the Broncos.

While I do like the Broncos’ new uniform and the different variations you can have, these throwbacks are the best uniforms in the entire NFL. You can make a VERY strong argument that they should be wearing this combo each and every week, but it seems like the team likes keeping them for special occasions a few times a year.
