Browns Vs. Titans Week 7 Picks: Cleveland Favored, But Some Still See Tennessee Winning
The Cleveland Browns take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday. If the Browns were at home, they might get some more universal support. But, it’s the first time they are favored in a game this season, and many people are actually picking Cleveland to win.
Here is what the national media is saying about the Week 7 game between the Browns and Titans:

Why Brooke picked the Titans: Despite the Browns possessing three more wins than Tennessee — and several of those victories were against better opponents, in my opinion — both teams rank in the bottom five in points per game with Cleveland averaging 17.7 (tied for 28th) and the latter 14 (tied for dead last). In fact, the Browns are one of just five teams in the last 20 seasons to win at least four of their first six games despite averaging fewer than 18 PPG. That’s why I can’t fully lean into Todd Monken’s group with confidence in this game. Not to mention, a baker’s dozen of Browns were on Wednesday’s injury report, including the heartbeat of the defense in LB Carson Schwesinger (ankle). I’m not overly confident about the home team, either, to be clear. But last week’s win proved to more than just the locker room that this team has what it takes to punch above its weight and win. In Jeffery Simmons and his friends on the D-line I trust against the most-sacked quarterback in the NFL. There is the question of which QB — Cleveland’s Deshaun Watson or Tennessee’s Cam Ward — will find the end zone before the fourth quarter? Heck, I’ll take a swing. Give me the second-year passer with a strong dose of rookie Carnell Tate.
CBS Sports (Pete Prisco) – Browns 17, Titans 16
The Browns are 4-2 after beating Baltimore last week, while the Titans beat the Colts last week. Neither team is doing much on offense, which suggests this will be a low-scoring game. I think the Browns have a better defense, which will be the difference. They win it again on a late field goal.
CBS Sports (John Breech) – Browns 20, Titans 13
Sporting News (Vinnie Iyer) – Titans 20, Browns 17
The Browns have been a thrilling home team and have gotten a favorable draw early on the road. But they are still winning ugly, defensive-minded battles. Tennessee built some confidence with defense and special teams in Indianapolis. This game gets sloppy with limited big plays, so chalk up another improbable Titans win.
Sporting News (Bill Bender) – Browns 19, Titans 16
The Browns unpredictable season continues on the road. Cleveland ranks eighth in the NFL in pass defense (205.2 ypg.), and Cam Ward has passed for more than 200 yards in only one game this season. Deshaun Watson has been sacked a league-high 24 times, and the Titans had six sacks in Week 6.
