Cardinals Wr Makes One-handed Catch Too Good For The Preseason

Quarterback Carson Beck didn't play for the Arizona Cardinals in their preseason game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, Aug. 13, after he suffered a rib injury in the team's preseason opener.

Presumptive starter Jacoby Brissett went 5-of-5 passing for 44 yards in limited action for the Cardinals, and Gardner Minshew II, who is currently listed as the team's backup, was 14 of 16 for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

But the play of the game might have come with quarterback Kedon Slovis leading the offense.

Midway through the third quarter, the former USC, Pittsburgh and BYU quarterback unleashed a pass to third-string wide receiver Reggie Virgil.

Virgil, a fifth-round pick out of Texas Tech, made a one-handed, over-the-shoulder catch for 24 yards and a highlight-reel entry.
