Chicago Bears Announce ‘26 Team Captains
Week 1 is finally upon us.
While some teams are still determining who their leaders are and others just settling on who their starting QBs will be, Chicago Bears fans are set to enjoy another year of consistency on both accounts. With Ben Johnson and QB Caleb Williams ready to embark on year two together and all but one captain from a year ago also returning, these Bears are looking to build upon their success in 2025. Meet your 2026 Chicago Bears Captains.

- Caleb Williams, QB #18
- Joe Thuney, LG #62
- Grady Jarrett, DT #50
- TJ Edwards, LB #53
- Cairo Santos, K #8
Each player was voted by his peers, according to coach Ben Johnson. TJ Edwards is the only new captain for the 2026 season as he replaces Kevin Byard III who departed in Free Agency. While one could argue these are far from the teams best players, it is hard to argue the experience that these vets bring to the table and it is easy to see why their peers hold them in such high regard.
How do you feel about these choices and would you have expected anyone else to be a captain this season?
