Chiefs-broncos Game Thread And Live Updates
The (5-1) Kansas City Chiefs are hitting the road in Week 8 to square off with the most immediate contender in the AFC West standings: the (5-2) Denver Broncos. Kickoff in Mile High is scheduled for 3:25 Arrowhead time and will be broadcast on KCTV-5.
The rematch of the Chiefs’ season-opening 31-10 beatdown of the Broncos will take place in just the seventh game of the season for Kansas City. After their first loss of the season, the Chiefs will look to stop Denver’s momentum, coming in on a three-game win streak. The Broncos have beaten the Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals in that stretch.
To make it four straight — and boost their division title odds — Denver will need to limit running back Kenneth Walker better than its defense did in Week 1. Walker totaled over 200 yards from scrimmage less than two months ago.
The Chiefs’ offense will be better equipped to get Walker going than last week, with the return of wide receiver Rashee Rice and right tackle Jaylon Moore.

LET'S DO THIS!!!!
The Chiefs opened the game with consecutive Kenneth Walker III runs, but gained only four yards. On third down, a bad snap from Creed Humphrey resulted in a fumble that Patrick Mahomes recovered before throwing incomplete under pressure from Zach Allen. Matt Araiza then punted 44 yards, with Marvin Mims Jr. calling for a fair catch at the Denver 17-yard line.
Denver moved 62 yards after beginning at its own 17, receiving significant help from two Chiefs penalties. A defensive pass-interference call against Kristian Fulton produced 18 yards before Jack Cochrane’s unnecessary-roughness penalty added another 15. Kansas City’s defense tightened inside its 25-yard line, with Nick Bolton pressuring Bo Nix into a third-down incompletion. Wil Lutz finished the drive with a 39-yard field goal, giving Denver a 3-0 lead.
Peter Woods left the field with an injury on that screen pass. He's walking to the medical tent with a couple trainers.
