The Toronto Maple Leafs are collecting former Vancouver Canucks at an impressive rate. With the acquisition of Aatu Räty, there are 11 former Canucks now either playing or working for the Maple Leafs. These former players and staff members can be found throughout the organization from the NHL level down to the ECHL.

Starting with the NHL team, there are six players who are on the current roster who played for Vancouver. They are Troy Stecher, Teddy Blueger, Oliver Ekman Larsson, Chris Tanev, Zack MacEwen and Dakota Joshua. There are also two staff members in Goaltending Coach Curtis Sanford and Assistant General Manager Judd Brackett.

Moving on to the AHL, there are two Toronto Marlies players who played for the Canucks. They are Räty, who was just acquired and Cole McWard. Unlike in previous years, Toronto will not be playing the Abbotsford Canucks this season.

Finally, there is one connection in the ECHL. That is Jackson Kunz, who plays for the Maple Leafs' ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones. The first matchup between the Kalamazoo Wings and the Cyclones is scheduled for November 27.

Ultimately, the list of Vancouver connections in Toronto is impressive. At this point, it appears that the Maple Leafs are committed to adding as many former Canucks as possible. The question now is: who is the next player or staff member headed from Vancouver to Toronto?
