Colts Select Kentucky, Running Back, Seth Mcgowan With 237th Pick In 2026 Nfl Draft

With the 237th pick the Indianapolis Colts have selected Kentucky, Running Back, Seth McGowan.

McGowan, will slide right into a Colts team that already features Jonathan Taylor as the bell-cow and second year DJ Giddens expected to take on a bigger role at running back in 2026. It stands to reason McGowan will have a chance to become the team’s RB3 while competing with Giddens for a bigger role while also contributing on special teams.

Here is what Lance Zurlein said about about McGowan leading up to the draft:

McGowan is quick to process and has enough wiggle to create when needed. However, his lack of explosive carries and fumble totals are concerning. McGowan is effective in short-yardage situations and flashes the skill to handle backup carries, but his age and lack of third-down value could work against him on draft day.

With another pick in the books the Colts will be on the clock again soon for the final time. The team has worked hard over the last two days to plug as many holes as they possibly could but after their final pick is turned in, their work isn’t over.
