As the Colts begin their season with a home matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, who do the experts predict will win the game?

  • ESPN’s Mike Clay, Benjamin Solak, Seth Wickersham, Jason Reid, Dan Graziano, Jeremy Fowler, Matt Bowen, Eric Moody, Pamela Maldonado, Kalyn Kahler, Lindsey Thiry: RAVENS
  • NFL Network’s Bucky Brooks, Colleen Wolfe, Nick Shook, Grant Gordon, Kevin Patra, Lance Zierlein, Tom Grossi, Brandon Perna: RAVENS
  • NFL.com’s Jeremy Bergman, Brooke Cersosimo, Bobby Kownack, Dan Parr: RAVENS

  • IndyStar’s Joel Erickson, Nathan Brown: COLTS

The National media is not looking too kindly on the Colts chances vs the Ravens on their season opener. Of the 40 analysts surveyed, only 5 chose the Colts, 2 of whom are from the local IndyStar.

However of the 20 analysts who provided specific score predictions, 19 predicted it would be a 1 score game. The only one expecting a 2 score victory would be Tom Grossi of NFL Network predicting a 27 to 17 Ravens win.

Besides @tomgrossicomedy, the NFL Network consensus is Ravens beat the Colts by 1 score.

Even in spite of the overwhelming consensus believing the Colts will not beat the Ravens, there is also a clear consensus that the Colts will keep the game close.

Can the Colts defy the odds and beat the Ravens? Time will tell this Sunday.
