The Washington Commanders signed defensive lineman Ricky Barber to the practice squad on Saturday and then immediately elevated him to the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The team also elevated linebacker Ale Kaho for this contest, adding depth to the position group after Frankie Luvu was ruled out with a groin injury and Jordan Magee was placed on injured reserve.

The Commanders released their injury report Friday, and they ruled out TE Chig Okonkwo (hamstring) and Luvu.

Barber was on the 53-man roster prior to Thursday, when he was released to make room for veteran practice squad cornerback Isaac Yiadom. Barber was brought to the practice squad, as expected, and his elevation provides insurance if Javon Kinlaw (back) is unable to play.

He was designated as questionable on the injury report after showing up on the participation report on Thursday.

The Dallas Cowboys announced two roster moves before tomorrow’s game. LBs Justin Barrin and Curtis Robinson are up with Demarvion Overshown out with a hamstring injury.
