Commanders Vs. Eagles Thursday Injury Report: Daron Payne Shows Up As Limited

The Washington Commanders had three limited participants to start the practice week leading up to Sunday’s game against the host Philadelphia Eagles.

Running back Bill Croskey-Merritt and edge rushers Odafe Oweh and K’Lavon Chaisson comprised that list on Wednesday. The Commanders listed another key player as limited heading into a crucial Week 1 contest at Lincoln Financial Field.

Defensive tackle Daron Payne was considered limited with an knee injury.

It’s tough to tell at this point exactly what that means for the Commanders. He could’ve gotten hurt in practice and was therefore limited, which is a worst-case scenario. It could be injury management an not a big deal, too.

He was, after all, dealing with a non-disclosed injury late in the preseason.

Head coach Dan Quinn will speak with the media again on Friday.
