Commanders Vs. Eagles Thursday Injury Report: Javon Kinlaw Still Out

Card image cap

It sure looks like the Commanders are going to play Sunday night’s game without Javon Kinlaw. The defensive tackle missed his second practice of the week while dealing with a knee injury.

That’s a big deal, considering his impact on the Commanders interior defensive line to this point. There’s always hope that he can recover in time to play the Eagles, and Charles Omenihu’s return to practice activity theoretically offers some depth if Kinlaw can’t go.

Receiver Stefon Diggs was back at practice, as head coach Dan Quinn previously announced, after some veteran rest and despite hand and hamstring issues. That’s a plus for the Commanders, especially with Terry McLaurin out for the foreseeable future.

Tight end John Bates missed a second day with a shoulder issue. Not having him available on Sunday, if we get that far, is a sneaky big deal considering his role as a blocker in the pass and run games.

Receiver Treylon Burks went from limited to a DNP, which is a bad sign for an already banged up pass-catching corps.

Also center Nick Allegretti popped up on the injury report with a back issue.
