The Dallas Cowboys hold their eighth training camp practice out in Oxnard, California. We open these discussion threads for every practice so that the Blogging The Boys community will have a place to congregate and discuss what is going on out at practice.

Unfortunately, dropping a Twitter List into this page no longer functions the way that it used to due to changes that the platform has made. We do have a list we recommend if you want to follow it in another tab. You can access it right here.

In order to keep the flow of things as smooth as possible though we’ll be dropping in updates and news items in this thread. Give us your take on them in the comments.

Here we go.

Editor’s Note: This post will be updated throughout practice with relevant news, information and highlights. The newest ones will be placed at the top so if you miss practice or want to see/read in chronological order make sure to scroll down to start.

Cowboys setting big goals for 2026.

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer hears the talk about how good the Dallas offense should be: “We got a lot of work to do on offense. … I hear it. I mean, we've put it out there. GOTI. Great. I love it. I want us to be that, but you got to do the work to do it. Teams are… pic.twitter.com/gGnb5TCSpl

A little vet time.

Tyler Smith has been limited to a degree in some team drills the last couple of practices with T.J. Bass working at left guard with the first team. But Smith has not taken a day or or skipped an 11-on-11 period. Just maintenance for somebody who’s played lot of football.

Schotty discusses why he let the team have it yesterday.

Brian Schottenheimer on why he let his team hear it early in #Cowboys practice on Saturday:

“I do a lot of things on instincts. I just felt like the energy was a bit off… I think they got the message and ended up putting together a hell of a practice.” pic.twitter.com/hjDjTLEQIa
