Ogbonnia joins defensive lineman Rashan Gary as a part of the Cowboys efforts to bolster the unit. With this signing, Dallas is now stacked on the interior with Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, Osa Odighizuwa and Solomon Thomas.

A former first-round pick in 2022, Ogbonnia 1,004 snaps during his career and added an additional 128 on special teams. He provides depth to a room that was already loaded with contributors.

Ogbonnia has had injury issues in his career so far. He reads as a run-stuffer in the middle of the line and was a fifth-round pick in 2022. So far he has clocked time in 43 games including 21 starts.

Christian Parker seems determined to win the tranches on defense.
