Cowboys Odds: Dallas Are Favored In Week 2 Even After Loss

The Dallas Cowboys host the Washington Commanders in Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season. Dallas lost their first game by a score of 28-20 to the New York Giants. The Commanders lost their opening game by a score of 24-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys will be at home. It used to be said that being at home was worth about three points, but recent trends show it’s more like 1.5 points. Whatever the case, the Cowboys are currently 3.5-point favorites for Week 2.

The Cowboys didn’t generate a lot of trust in their first game as the defense didn’t look that much improved from last year. The offense also took a step back, putting the team in a tough spot for Week 2.

Lose to the Commanders, and you are 0-2, both losses within the division. The Cowboys desperately need the win in Week 2.
