Cowboys Star Makes Nsfw Wager With Rams Before Heated Joint Practice

Dak Prescott arrived at the Rams’ practice facility hoping to win more than bragging rights.

Before Tuesday’s joint practice began in Woodland Hills, the Cowboys quarterback was captured proposing an unofficial wager with expensive watches on the line.

“Tell ’em bet the clocks today—winner takes the f–king clocks,” Prescott said in a video posted by Patrik Walker. “We’ll steal their s–t. They ain’t ready for that bet.”

There was no indication the Rams accepted his challenge—or that a Los Angeles player was even within earshot. It takes two sides to make a wager, especially when the proposed prize could be sitting inside a six-figure jewelry collection.

Prescott has previously described trash talk as part of his leadership style, saying he deliberately provokes teammates who respond well to confrontation.

“I start a lot of it,” Prescott said in 2023. “I open the door and make people feel comfortable to talk trash to me.”

The Rams supplied a response once practice began.

Los Angeles generated consistent pressure despite holding Myles Garrett out because of knee swelling. Byron Young repeatedly tormented Cowboys right tackle Terence Steele, forcing Prescott to escape the pocket before producing what would have been a sack on another rep.

Josaiah Stewart, Braden Fiske, Kobie Turner and Poona Ford contributed to a pass rush that forced hurried throws throughout the session. Quentin Lake intercepted Prescott during red-zone work, while Nate Landman produced multiple stops near the line of scrimmage.

Dallas’ defense dominated the turnover count, with Justin Barron intercepting three passes. Two, however, came against backup Stetson Bennett. Matthew Stafford threw only one interception and otherwise received praise from Sean McVay for identifying coverage and operating the offense efficiently.

Puka Nacua and Davante Adams consistently won in the short passing game before Nacua left practice early. Ty Simpson also capitalized on his limited opportunities by finding Mario Williams for a red-zone touchdown.

Prescott’s play eventually caught up with his mouth. After an uneven start, he threw four touchdowns during Dallas’ red-zone period. George Pickens supplied several difficult receptions, although running back Jaydon Blue lost an early fumble.

Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer called the session “a battle” that became chippy at times.

Dallas produced more turnovers, but the Rams pressured Prescott, moved the ball with Stafford and created several defensive highlights without Garrett.

No watches reportedly changed wrists. Neither team left Woodland Hills with an uncontested claim to the practice—or the other side’s jewelry.
