• Packers report $453.2 million in revenue from NFL in unique financial disclosure (The Athletic) – “The Green Bay Packers received $453.2 million from the NFL in the most recent fiscal year as part of the league’s national revenue-sharing model, team president Ed Policy told reporters Friday. Extrapolated to 32 teams, which share revenue equally, the league brought in more than $14.5 billion, the majority of which came from broadcast deals.”
• 49ers’ Kyle Shanahan to be limited in camp after car crash (ESPN): “Shanahan broke his nose, three ribs and his hand, needed more than 40 stiches (sic) in his face, and suffered a severe concussion during a July 14 car crash when he collided with an SUV near his northern California home, according to sources familiar with the situation.”
• Robert Kraft: Patriots have offered Christian Gonzalez largest contract in franchise history (NFL.com): “Trent McDuffie is currently the league’s highest-paid cornerback, having signed a four-year, $124 million pact with the Rams after Los Angeles traded for him. That would mean, according to Kraft, the deal the two sides are working on exceeds $31 million in average annual salary.”
