Draymond Green doubled down on his vision for a LeBron James-led Warriors offense.

After stating in a reply to a fan’s post on Threads on Sunday that James would be the leader of Golden State’s offense if he were to join the team in NBA free agency, Green expanded on his expectation for the offense on the latest episode of his podcast, “The Draymond Green Show.”

“I’m gonna go be P.J. Tucker and become the greatest corner 3-point shooter of all time,” Green said after stating he would give the keys to the offense to James.

Green added that while he would remain open to being involved in the pick and roll, he recognizes there might not be much opportunity with James and Steph Curry on the floor together, which does not seem to bother him.

“If you cannot figure out how to play a role, you usually fail,” Green said. “And so for me, I know what spot would be open, is the corner.”

Green’s best 3-point shooting season came in 2023-24, when he shot 39.5 percent, followed by 2015-16, when he shot 38.8 percent. Throughout his 14-year NBA career, Green is a 32.1-percent 3-point shooter.

James has been one of the league’s most coveted free agents this offseason since announcing on June 30 that he would not return to the Los Angeles Lakers upon the expiration of his contract. The Warriors are among the potential suitors for the all-time great, and reportedly are competing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers for his services.
