PHOENIX — The Eagles are losing a key member of their front office to the Atlanta Falcons.
The Falcons are hiring Eagles vice president of football operations Jeff Scott as their assistant general manager, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday morning.
Scott has spent the last five years with the Eagles and was promoted to VP of football operations for the 2024 season. He previously had the title of director of football operations. Scott has a varied background between scouting and football operations during his 14 years in the NFL.
Earlier this offseason, the Falcons hired former Eagles’ scouting department member and former Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham as their general manager. But Cunningham and Scott did not overlap in Philadelphia.
Before joining the Eagles, Scott spent nine seasons with Washington, last serving as director of pro scouting/advance coordinator. Scott held a few different titles in Washington but got his start as a salary cap intern in 2012.
