The Eagles have reworked kicker Jake Elliott’s contract for the 2026 season, according to OverTheCap.

In the restructure, Elliott accepted a $1 million pay decrease from $6 million to $5 million. But the Eagles guaranteed that $5 million, which is a clear signal that Elliott will be their kicker this season after a disappointing 2025.

Elliott’s cap hit for 2026 was going to be $4.893 million and his new cap hit is $4.65 million, so the team trimmed $243,000 in cap space with this maneuver. But it also means even if Elliott were cut after June 1, there would be no further cap savings. Elliott remains under contract through the 2028 season.

Basically, Elliott was due for an option bonus of $4.65 million and instead that bonus sum is now $3.65 million. Elliott is still due a base salary of $1.3 million in 2026 and has a workout bonus of $50,000, which brings his running total for 2026 to $5 million.

Elliott, 31, struggled in 2025. He made just 20 of 27 field goals and was just 4 for 8 from 50+. Over the last two seasons, Elliott is now just 5 for 15 from 50+, giving him the worst percentage in the NFL among 35 kickers with at least five attempts.

While he’s an absolute legend in Philadelphia and a two-time Super Bowl champion, Elliott’s struggles have been noticeable in recent seasons. But the Eagles are still showing faith in him going into 2026.
