The Philadelphia Eagles will be playing in a different country Sunday with a vastly different offensive lineup than the one they trotted out for Week 1 last month.

Against the 3-1 Jacksonville Jaguars in London this weekend, the 2-2 Eagles will be without their leading rusher and receiver, as well as a member of their new-look offensive line. Running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith will be sidelined with hamstring injuries. Due to a knee issue, Drew Kendall, who started the past three games at center, also won't be able to play.

Wideout Hollywood Brown (ankle) is also out and so is safety Marcus Epps (groin). Edge rusher Jonathan Greenard (ankle) is questionable.

On the bright side for the Eagles, they're getting tight end Dallas Goedert and linebacker Zack Baun back. Goedert missed the last two outings with a knee problem. A concussion kept Baun from competing in last week's loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Still, the pressure will be on quarterback Jalen Hurts to generate offense despite key losses. After all, Philadelphia's offensive line has morphed midseason, particularly this week.

Six-time Pro Bowl right tackle Lane Johnson suddenly retired on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Eagles traded two-time Pro Bowl center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens for draft compensation, namely a 2028 second-round pick. Jurgens had been filling in at left guard in the absence of three-time Pro Bowler Landon Dickerson, who went on injured reserve with a knee issue after the season opener.

Kendall, meanwhile, took Jurgens' place at center. His performance there has impressed general manager Howie Roseman. But the 2025 fifth-round pick from Boston College won't be available Sunday against the Jags.

That means Philadelphia will be missing three of its O-line starters from Weeks 2-3.

Former undrafted free agent Jake Majors, a second-year Texas product, appeared to be filling Kendall's void during practice Thursday, as captured by ESPN's Tim McManus. Majors was signed to the Eagles' active roster from their practice squad Friday.

Another undrafted player from the 2025 class is expected to slot in at left guard for the time being: Willie Lampkin.

Lampkin could be a short-term solution at the position until Dickerson returns from IR. Johnson's heir at right tackle is rookie Markel Bell, a third-rounder Philadelphia selected out of Miami.

The Eagles' transformed O-line will be blocking for not only Hurts but also a backfield that'll be down Barkley, as well as backup running back Tank Bigsby, the latter of whom landed on IR and needed core muscle surgery.

Will Shipley will likely be in for an increased workload on the ground. He'll be joined by a pair of practice squad backs: Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele. They've been elevated this week.

Pierce's presence in the league has faded in recent years, but he rushed for 939 yards as a rookie with the Houston Texans in 2022. As for Steele, he made three starts for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024 and wrapped that season with 183 yards on 56 totes.
