Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Justin Boone's Top Defenses To Stream For Week 5

We're through the first month of the 2026 regular season and streaming is going to become more and more important as byes ramp up and we progress toward the fantasy football playoffs. We have a pretty good sense of which teams are good and bad with four weeks in the books. Below, Justin Boone takes you through his top defenses to stream for Week 5, based on his comprehensive waiver wire column.

Team	Next Up	Rostered
Bengals	at MIA	23%
Browns	at NYJ	14%
Giants	at WAS	16%
Cowboys	vs. TB	5%
Saints	vs. MIN	6%

Bengals at Dolphins: We're going to keep picking on the Dolphins each week regardless of the defense, really. Miami is allowing the fifth-most points to defenses through four games this season. Plus, Cincy may need its unit to step up with so many injuries on the other side of the ball.

Browns at Jets: Cleveland is shaping up to be much better than we all thought. A big reason for the 3-1 start is its defense, which has 11 sacks and four interceptions over the past three games.

Giants vs. Commanders: The Commanders could be down to their third-string QB Athan Kaliakmanis in Week 5 with Jayden Daniels (elbow) and Marcus Mariota (knee) banged up. This would leave the G-Men in a great spot with an improving defense.
