Giannis Antetokounmpo Hopes To Return To Milwaukee Someday, 'if They Would Have Me'

Giannis Antetokounmpo has entered a new chapter in his career, joining the Miami Heat after 13 years and one NBA championship with the Milwaukee Bucks. While Antetokounmpo has said he is ready to embrace the opportunities ahead, he has also openly expressed some concerns as he prepares to take on a leading role in Miami.

In a candid conversation on the Greek podcast AnesTea The Podcast with Anestis Evangelopoulos, Antetokounmpo explained that leaving Milwaukee was a difficult but necessary step for his professional growth.

Despite acknowledging the necessity of this next chapter with the Heat, Antetokounmpo expressed hope that he might one day return to Milwaukee, "if they would have me."

"I love the city of Milwaukee," he said. "When the Miami chapter comes to an end – I don’t know when that will be, but it will happen because I’ll retire at some point – I hope I can return to Milwaukee."
