Giants Will Host Cb Terrion Arnold For Visit On Wednesday

The Giants are scheduled to host cornerback Terrion Arnold for a visit at their practice facilities on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Arnold, 23, is a former first-round pick by the Detroit Lions who played in 24 games (22 starts) over two seasons with the Lions before getting released in late-June shortly after getting arrested on eight felony charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery, stemming from an incident in Tampa, FL in February.

Despite his history, Arnold has received interest from a few other teams and has already visited with the Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints, whom he met with on Tuesday. New York will now join the list.

On the field, the Alabama product has one career interception to go along with one fumble recovery, 18 passes defended and 91 combined tackles.

Arnold played in just eight games (seven starts) last year after missing the end of the season with a torn shoulder that required surgery which is now fully healed. During his rookie campaign, Arnold started in 15 out of 16 games played and finished 15th in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.

Currently free on a $1 million bond, the 23-year-old is permitted to travel for work and has completely denied the allegations.

Meanwhile, the Giants' depth at the cornerback position entering this season is thin with Paulson Adebo and Greg Newsome II the current starters with Colton Hood and Deonte Banks serving as the backups.
