The Seattle Seahawks had a big hole to fill at running back in the offseason.

First, on the way to winning Super Bowl LX in memorable fashion by thumping the New England Patriots 29-13, 2023 second round pick Zach Charbonnet was lost to a torn ACL. Then, in the offseason, 2022 second round pick Kenneth Walker departed for the greener grass of a three-year, $45M contract.

To fill the void, general manager John Schneider used the Seahawks first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on running back Jadarian Price. Price flashed at times during the first three weeks of the season, but a chest injury and a pair of fumbles had some fans questioning whether Price might be a bust just three weeks into his rookie contract.

Saturday afternoon, however, reports emerged that for the next month Price bill be unable to contribute on the field and shake any early grumblings of being a bust as the chest injury he reaggravated has landed him in injured reserve.

The trip to injured reserve means Price will miss at least the next four games, including matchups against the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs, and makes the return of Charbonnet, who was designated for return to practice this week, even more meaningful.
