Jaden Bradley Among Washington Commanders Players Signed To The Practice Squad

The Washington Commanders announced their initial practice squad on Monday afternoon. It included several standout players from training camp and the preseason, with talent that will surely support game-day efforts throughout the year.

Receiver Jaden Bradley is a notable addition, someone who received high praise throughout the course of camp. Terry McLaurin has mentored the undrafted UNLV product, who proved a hard worker in practices and a dynamic playmaker in preseason games.

The Commanders have a bloated receiver corps right now, but it’s still possible Bradley sees the field at some point during the regular season.

Washington also signed veteran defensive lineman Byron Cowart, a relatively late addition who is an effective run stopper up front.

The Commanders also added fan favorite Robert Henry Jr., a running back and big-play threat. Craig Reynolds was also kept in that position group, and could be the first rusher elevated with just three backs on the active roster.

Despite having a rough training camp at the center spot, the Commanders retained Julian Good-Jones on the practice squad. Linebacker Ale Kaho was kept around as well, a smart move that serves to increase the team’s depth among the off-the-ball linebackers.

The Commanders also went outside their offseason roster to reportedly sign offensive tackle Esa Pole, per the Kansas City Star a player who started four games for the Kansas City Chiefs last year. He’s a massive human at 6-foot-7 and 319 pounds, and could be a factor down the road on the offensive line.

They also reportedly added cornerback Reddy Steward, per Jordan Schutlz, who played in 17 games, with five starts, for the Dallas Cowboys in 2025. He’s someone who might be called upon early as an elevation.

Those reported moves put the practice squad at 14 players, with three spots remaining, with Jeffery M’Ba receiving an exemption as part of the International Player Pathway.

Also of note: The Commanders had the seventh slot in the NFL’s waiver order, which is based on the draft slots (excluding trades) form the 2026 selection. That order will remain through the season’s first three weeks, until 2026 regular-season results start dictating the waiver wire.

They didn’t use it on anyone.That doesn’t mean there won’t be roster moves in free agency to fortify the squad. It just didn’t come with a waiver claim.
