Justin Tucker Among Kickers To Work Out With Jets On Wednesday

The Jets continue to shuffle things around when it comes to their kicking situation, and they worked out a group of kickers on Wednesday that included veteran placekicker Justin Tucker.

According to multiple reports, Tucker, the former Baltimore Raven, was part of the workout, along with former Los Angeles Rams kicker Josh Karty and Michael Badgley, who has kicked for multiple teams.

SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes reports that working out Tucker was simply "due diligence," and nothing is imminent at this time.

A seven-time Pro Bowler and one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history (89.1 percent for his career, ranking third all time) Tucker has not kicked in an NFL game since the 2024 season. He was released by the Ravens in May 2025 after multiple allegations of inappropriate behavior with massage therapists between 2012-16.

Tucker was suspended 10 games by the NFL, which he served as a free agent. He would immediately be eligible to play if he signs with an NFL team.

It initially looked like veteran Jason Sanders had won the Jets' kicking job over Cade York, but Sanders was cut after the team claimed Blake Grupe off waivers from the New Orleans Saints.

Grupe very well could still be the team's kicker come next Sunday against the Titans, but the Jets are very clearly still doing some work to make sure they have the right player for the job.
