Kawhi Leonard Trade Is Now A “done Deal”, Says Shams Charania
Just in from Shams Charania: ESPN’s senior NBA insider has just announced that after gruelling months and massive league upheaval, the Kawhi Leonard trade has finally been completed, with Kawhi Leonard finally coming back North to rejoin the Raptors.
Done deal: The LA Clippers and Raptors have both agreed to complete the trade sending Kawhi Leonard to Toronto for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks, one first-round pick swap and two second-rounders, per ESPN sources. The deal, as reported, remains the same as it was back in June, sending the forward to the Raptors in exchange for Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, and a bevy of picks that will be used to bolster the Clippers’ now depleted war-chest in the wake of the judgement from the NBA that came earlier this September. Charania announced that today marked the date that the Clippers finally submitted their approval for the trade, allowing it to go through.
