Knicks Waiving Drew Eubanks After Center Sustains Torn Pectoral Muscle

The Knicks are waiving Drew Eubanks after the center suffered a torn pectoral muscle that will sideline him for an extended period of time.

Eubanks last played in the Knicks' preseason loss to the Raptors on Tuesday. He scored eight points on 3-of-5 shooting with two rebounds and two assists in his 15 minutes on the court. Eubanks played in three of the Knicks' four preseason games, and combined to score 13 points and come down with three rebounds.

SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley reports that even before Eubanks' injury, James Wiseman put himself in a good position to make the final roster as the Knicks look to add center depth following the departures of Mitchell Robinson and Ariel Hukporti this offseason.

Wiseman was in the starting five against the Raptors on Tuesday. He posted 18 points on 7-for-8 shooting with 10 rebounds (four offensive) in his 24 minutes.

The Knicks also waived Tony Bradley and Ochai Agbaji.

Knicks have enough room under the second apron to keep one camp vet. Bruce Brown has also put himself in a good position to get a roster spot, but the Knicks would need to trade a rostered player to make that happen.

The Knicks will need to lock in their roster ahead of the regular season opener against the 76ers on Oct. 20.
