The Las Vegas Raiders have released former New York Giants draft bus Evan Neal from their practice squad.

Neal, the No. 7 overall pick by the Giants in the 2022 NFL Draft, was released by the Giants in the cutdown from 90 to 53 players at the end of the preseason. The Raiders added the 26-year-old to their practice squad on Sept. 4.

Neal never appeared in a game for Las Vegas.

Neal did not appear in a game for the Giants last season. He played in only 29 of 51 potential regular-season games over his first three seasons as injuries took a toll.

New head coach John Harbaugh gave Neal an opportunity this offseason, but Neal did not make the roster.

The Raiders also released former Giants tight end Chris Myarick from the practice squad. One of the players they added, offensive lineman Darian Kinnard, spent some time on the Giants’ practice squad earlier this season.

Defensive linemen work out

The Giants had two defensive linemen in for workouts on Monday, according to the league’s transactions wire.

Taki Taimani is a 6-foot-1, 324-pound 27-year-old who played nine game over the 2024 and 2025 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. He was waived due to injury late last month.

Jamheer Carter is a 6-foot-2, 311-pound rookie out of Virginia who went undrafted. He signed with the Los Angeles Chargers and was briefly on their practice squad.
