Luka Dončić Has Fan Sitting Courtside Removed After Incident With Official During Lakers' Win Over Kings

Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić had a fan sitting courtside at the Golden 1 Center removed on Wednesday night after an incident between the fan and one of the game’s officials.

As he was set to inbound the ball late in the third quarter of the Lakers’ 116-103 win over the Sacramento Kings, Dončić suddenly started calling officials and security over on the baseline while pointing to a man sitting in a courtside seat. The man had caught the ball on the previous play and launched it back aggressively at the official, who was not prepared for it. The ball hit her awkwardly, which Dončić clearly didn't like.

"What the f*** are you doing?" Dončić appears to ask the fan before calling over others.

Officials stopped the game briefly and quickly approached the man. He was then walked out.

The game then continued on without incident. It's unclear if the man said anything back to Dončić.

The Lakers took a seven-point lead into the locker room at halftime, and then surged ahead in the second half to secure the 13-point win on Wednesday night. Dončić continued his offensive tear, and finished with 40 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. He shot 11 of 23 from the field. Dončić has scored at least 40 points in five of his last six outings, which includes a 52-point night late last month.

Austin Reaves added 21 points for the Lakers in the win. Walker Kessler finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. The Lakers now sit at 7-2 on the season.

Darius Acuff led the Kings with 22 points and 12 assists in the loss, which dropped them to 1-7 and 0-3 on their home court. Zach LaVine finished with 21 points, and Domantas Sabonis had 16 points and 17 rebounds.

Dončić and the Lakers will be back in action on Friday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
