Maxx Crosby is widely known as one of the premier pass-rushes sin the NFL.

But the Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end doesn’t get enough love for his ability to affect the game in the run game as well. And that’s what makes his so special.

A recent X post by NFL analyst Ryan Paganetti (who used to work for the Raiders) illustrates just how effective Crosby is against the run. Check this out:

Now we can get back to the other football.

People still underestimate how dominant @CrosbyMaxx is in the run game.

Highest TFLs per game rates excluding sacks in NFL history:

(TFLs − sacks) ÷ games; TFLs tracked since 1999

Maxx Crosby, 2025 — 1.20
Sean Lee, 2017 — 1.18

Those are silly-good numbers and it shows just how unique and special Crosby is. He can beat offenses in every phase of the game and you just don’t see strong pass-rushers have an equal impact in the ground game as well.
