With our Miami Dolphins traveling this week to take on the Minnesota Vikings, I asked the following question this past week:

What are your predictions, bold or otherwise, for the Miami Dolphins’ defense and offense in this coming Sunday’s game vs. the Minnesota Vikings? Who do you expect to lead the team in key categories like tackles, tackles for loss, pass breakups, interceptions, defensive touchdowns, etc., on defense, and receiving yards, touchdowns, receptions, rushing production, and first downs, etc., on offense? What are your stat-line projections for our key playmakers this week and/or who will be the team’s MVPs on each side of the ball?

Below are some of your thoughts on this afternoon’s game –

Molly Polly II sees a revenge game on the horizon.

Anticipating Flores to seek revenge….yes, this game undoubtedly personal. Just maybe the coaches are prepared and Willis identifies the blitzes??? Just maybe our offense can score more than 10?

Vikings 27, Finz 17

SlayerNation1 sees another close one, at least early on.

MIN 31 MIA 13

I was definitely wrong about KC, as it wasn’t a total disaster on the scoreboard.

Probably the theme of the season, hang close for a half and then the talent disparity wins out.

phinette has at least one player continuing to show out.

Rodriguez will continue his ascension, but the secondary will get burned. We’ll end up with fewer than 80 yards rushing and 250 yards passing.

Vikes 24-10

Dolphster sees things going wrong and is not predicting/guessing anything specific!

I’m not going to make specific stat predictions because let’s face it, that is just guessing. But, with the Flores blitz-happy defense, I don’t see Miami having an answer for that and it may be a very tough day for the offense and Willis is going to be spending a good bit of time picking himself up off the turf.

Phoenix6 has Gordon stepping up in place of Achane.

What are your predictions, bold or otherwise, for the Miami Dolphins’ defense and offense in this coming Sunday’s game vs. the Minnesota Vikings?

Defense: 2 interceptions, 2 sacks, 1 pick 6

Offense: 2 TDs, 3 FGs

Who do you expect to lead the team in key categories like:

tackles: Rodriguez

tackles for loss: Rodriguez

pass breakups: Brents

interceptions: Safeties

defensive touchdowns: Brents

receiving yards: Bell

touchdowns: Bell, Willis, maybe Gordon

receptions: Bell

rushing production: Gordon

first downs: Dulcich

What are your stat-line projections for our key playmakers this week?

Rodriguez 4 tkls for loss, Gordon 95yds, Bell 105yds… Robinson 2 sacks

Who will be the team’s MVPs on each side of the ball?

Robinson & Bell

ReggiesBush, like most of us, wishes VanGinkle was still a Phin.

I miss VanGinkle. I wish we paid him instead of Chubb. They love him over there.

JKBMia is going to sleep better knowing that Jefferson will be in street clothes tomorrow.

Feels like a “winnable” game (in context of our Dolphins) if Jefferson doesn’t play.

They have very little to hurt us outside of him with an old banged up Aaron Jones in the backfield.

Flores will probably scheme something up to give our offense fits, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see this a 17-13 game either way.

If Jefferson plays I think he puts up 150+ on our secondary and he scores enough to beat us by himself.

Haven’t seen anything from Haf to date that shows he can put together a game plan to stop the opposing teams best player.

We don’t have a soul in the secondary who can even begin to slow him down.

cyberflea knows that the cure for a bad offense sure as hell is not losing its best overall player on that side of the ball.

More bad news for an anemic Dolphins offense that is now without their best playmaker in Achane. The Vikings defense is generating an absurd 32.8% pressure rate and holding opponents to a 22.7% third-down conversion rate. Enough said – Vikings win 24-10

Ksphinfan has Miami winning the barn-burner.

9-6 fins

sdphinsfan knows someone in the house will be happy tomorrow night.

Gonna be a long Sunday folks. Rough year to be an avid Fins fan. Rough day when the wife is an avid Vikes fan. I don’t know what to predict, other than it’s gonna hurt…bad…

Phins1972 believes that Flores is going to make Willis’ life hell. Sounds about right.

Willis slow to process the field. Flores will blitz the crap out of him. The perfect storm. Long day for Willis. Very long.

I Hate Sports has the Vikes up by 8 when all is said and done.

Vikings 20 – Dolphins 12

MiamiItaliano at least sees JR10 with a good-to-great game.

Vikings 20 – Dolphins 13

Malik throws for 1 TD. Dolphins have less than 50 rushing yards total. Malik throws for 250+ yards. Jacob Rodriguez 10 or more tackles. Defense limits Kyler Murray to 220 passing yards.

Well, that’s our selection of comments for this evening. The consensus seems to be that the Dolphins won’t get out of tomorrow with a victory. Part of me sees how Miami could steal this one, and then I remember that the Vikings probably have the best defensive coordinator in the game, who also happens to have a grudge to settle with the Phins, so yeah, that’s probably not ideal… As always, thank you to each of you who took the time to join in on our Phinsider Question Of The Day.
