Micah Parsons May Not Be Ready To Play Until November

The Packers aren't expecting linebacker Micah Parsons back on the field any time soon.

Parsons was ruled out for the first four games of the season as soon as the Packers put him on the physically unable to perform list, but there was previously some optimism he'd be good to go soon after he was eligible to return to the active roster — perhaps as soon as next week. Now, it looks like it's going to be a while.

Parsons is not expected to practice next week and might not be ready to play in a game until November, according to Tom Pelissero.

Although Parsons hasn't had a setback in recovery from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 15 of last season, those injuries can take close to a year to heal, and Parsons is still less than 10 months out. It's going to take him some more time.

When the Packers pulled off the blockbuster trade to acquire Parsons, they thought they could be adding the last piece for a Super Bowl contender. Instead, last year they were bounced out of the first round of the playoffs, and now they're 1-2, with big questions about whether they'll be playoff contenders this year, with or without Parsons.
