Could we be getting a preview of the NFC championship game on Monday night?
"Monday Night Football" brings together two NFC powerhouses as the Chicago Bears travel to Seattle to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks in a Week 8 showdown.
Both teams are legitimate contenders and the stakes feel even higher considering Chicago came just one win away from potentially facing Seattle in last season’s NFC title game. Now, with both squads looking to strengthen their credentials, this matchup offers an early measuring stick for two teams with Super Bowl aspirations.
The Bears enter the contest riding high, with Ben Johnson’s offense firing on all cylinders. Quarterback Caleb Williams is back to full strength after a hamstring injury sidelined him for three games. The Bears also have the extra rest advantage after defeating the New England Patriots on "Thursday Night Football" in Week 7. Chicago will look to carry that momentum into one of its toughest tests yet.
Seattle, however, has plenty of momentum of its own. The Seahawks made a statement with a dominant "Sunday Night Football" victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last week, holding Patrick Mahomes and company to just three points while keeping Kansas City out of the red zone for the entire game. Sam Darnold has been leaning heavily on star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who continues to produce at a historic pace.
With Johnson’s offensive creativity going head-to-head against Mike Macdonald’s menacing “Dark Side” defense, something has to give. Will Chicago’s high-powered offense prevail, or can Seattle make another statement on the national stage?

Seahawks vs Bears prediction by A.I.
04:34 PM ET, November 2 2026, Jacob CamenkerSeattle Seahawks 24, Chicago Bears 17
AI's take: Copilot acknowledged the Seahawks have a strong advantage at Lumen Field, which is "one of the toughest road environments in the league." That, plus Seattle's strong defense, are influencing its decision to pick the Seahawks to beat the Bears in Week 8.
Our take: Caleb Williams has played extremely well this season and demonstrated elite accuracy and an ability to fit throws into tough windows against the Patriots. The Seahawks will provide the young quarterback with an even more difficult test, so he will have to have his A-game again to earn a win. For now, we'll stick with Seattle to earn a tight victory.
